It’s 11/11. Make a wish.

There are lots of theories about making a wish on 11:11. Some believe it’s about new beginnings, positing that the universe is opening a door for you— and if you are ready to accept the invitation—it will be quite the party. Some see it as a harbinger of success, believing 11:11 to be the time to manifest your wildest dreams because if you are ready, they will come true. Some believe it is a call to wake up and be conscious of the moment. A time to turn toward positivity. A time to take the lessons of the past forward while leaving the pain of it behind. Some see the symmetry in the numbers and find it pleasing. And some simply heard it on the playground or from the mouths of aunts and like making wishes. Any way you slice it, I’ll eat this cake.

Did I mention, 11/11 is my birthday? It is magical. I couldn't agree more. And so, wonderful one, I knew 11/11/2020 would be the perfect day to invite you in. Welcome to The Whimsy Collective.

I believe that stories are the key.

Stories reflect the world as we know it, validating our personal experiences. Stories shine a light on new perspectives, illuminating different views, helping us to see and understand experiences we have not lived. Stories unlock us, inviting the compassion, empathy, and courage necessary to connect us in this wondrous world. 

But I’m only one storyteller…with only my context. A collective is needed to tell the whole story. Don’t you think? Together, we can unlock the wonder.
